Severn Trent Water and Dee Valley Water have started the tender process to officially prequalify firms to deliver its upcoming AMP7 water investment programme - estimated investment spend on capital delivery and maintenance is put at £2.3 billion over the five-year period.
A variety of different delivery models ranging from turnkey solutions to sourcing strategy for materials, plant, equipment and labour is under consideration.
Both companies are looking to award framework agreements for the provision of design and build, and the provision of build only in respect of capital, renewal and refurbishment projects across the AMP7 regulatory asset management period. Framework contracts will start in October 2018 and end in September 2023, with a range of potential extension options.
The contracts are being tendered in four separate Lots:
Lot No: Lot 1 — Capital Delivery Frameworks Design and Build (£1.5bn)
Lot No: Lot 2 — Capital Delivery Frameworks — Civils Led (£500m)
Lot No: Lot 3 — Capital Delivery Frameworks — MEICA Led (£150m)
Lot No: Lot 4 — Capital Delivery Frameworks — ICA Led (£150m)
